mTarsier is licensed under the MIT License. This means you are free to:

- Modify the source code
- Distribute the software
- Sublicense the software

3. Use of the Application
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use mTarsier to manage MCP (Model Context Protocol) server configurations for compatible AI clients on your local machine.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application (except as permitted by law)
- Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the application to violate any third-party rights
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
mTarsier is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
We do not guarantee that the application will meet your requirements or that it will be compatible with all systems or configurations.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, mTarsier and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the application
- Any unauthorized access to or use of your data
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
- Any errors or omissions in the application
6. Backup Responsibility
While mTarsier provides backup functionality for MCP configurations, you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups. We recommend regularly backing up your important configuration files independently.
7. Third-Party Services
mTarsier may integrate with or connect to third-party services (e.g., GitHub, MCP servers). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.
8. Updates and Modifications
We may update, modify, or discontinue mTarsier at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Open Source
mTarsier is open-source software. The source code is available on GitHub. Contributions are welcome and subject to the project's contribution guidelines.
10. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the maintainers operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
